Eastbound 16N has derailed several cars on Track 1 at Cresson at approximately 9AM...Derailment is fortunately minor as affected cars reported upright and within the gauge...Scanner feed chatter has the 36A ok by East on Track 2 and 25V ok West on 3 after cutting helpers at MO....Road Foreman and Asst. Trainmaster on scene....Dave W.

Derailment looks to be cleaned up. The work crew is fixing the track at 2:51 pm.

Edit: train still derailed. The equipment to rerail the cars just arrived at 2:57 pm

Station Inn webcam showing wreck crews arrived. What a nice view if you were at the Station Inn this day !! Sit on the front porch and watch the action.

Fortunately, the service road between Tracks 1 and 2 provided enough of a buffer zone so that traffic on 2 and 3 could pass without too much delay...Dave W.

The rerail crew is rerailing cars

still rerailing cars as of 6 pm. Track 2 had to be given up for traffic. from 7 pm on there are stop boards on track 2 to allow rerailing to interfere with track 2. There is a lot of rail to be replaced around the Bob Evans. Don't expect track 1 to be open before midnite if at all.

Initial derailment apparently happened about 100 yards west of station inn and train finally stopped with derailed cars by the bob evans (about 100 yards) east of station inn.. Apparently a goodly stretch of rail rolled AFTER the derailment.

I talked to someone who works for hulcher (the company doing the rerailing) and he said they will be done rerailing the cars around midnight. Don't expect trains to be running on track 1 until tomorrow morning.
