Monongahela Heritage Unit Location?
Author: StephenK

Hello everyone. The Monongahela Heritage Unit was last spotted trailing on a 66W in Chesterton, IN. I would think that this unit has reached Conway, PA and maybe got pulled for servicing. Does anyone have update on its location? Thanks.

From what I have read on Facebook the unit was involved in a derailment today

A very, very minor derailment. The picture I saw on Facebook is not from a location recognizable to me from its composition.

Fairlane Yard, which may technically be within the city limit of Lorain, but is as close or closer to Amherst and/or Vermilion as it is to downtown Lorain.

On Tuesday evening it is reported in Ohio on train 66W.

Here is a good tracking site:

The Ohio sighting was posted AFTER this conversation started.

This site's existence is, for most at least, a poorly kept secret.

Thanks for all the info everybody, and yes there was no siting on heritageunits.com for two days before I posted this, and was just curious where it was. Hopefully the problem will get fixed soon.
