Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX River Line Action - Jan. 16th, 2015Date: 01/27/15 19:50 CSX River Line Action - Jan. 16th, 2015 Author: PennRailVideos I was out along the CSX's River Line on a very cold Friday morning, and saw several trains along the old New York Central's West Shore Route.
1. CSX Q003 heads north out of the tunnel at Fort Montgomery, NY. 2. Very short Q010 heads south at the same location. 3. CSX Q711 heads south through the rock cut the same location. 5. Near Iona Island in an awfully backlit shot, Q702 heads north across the long trestle. 6. CSX K683 heads north past the walkway out to the dock near Iona Island. Edited 2 time(s). Next on the opposite side of the bridge, CSX K038 heads south with CSX and NS power.
8. Local C711 heads south past the bird sanctuary at Iona Island, MP 41. 9. Across the Hudson, we see a southbound tank train. Didn't catch the symbol. This was my first time visiting the area and I really enjoyed the scenery. I look forward to returning to the area when it's much warmer out! That's all folks. - Adam C.
