Silly "survey," but I'm curious. What order, if any, do you check out the Trainorders discussions? Mine are:

1. Eastern Railroads
2. Western Railroads
3. Passenger Railroading
4. Canadian Railroads
5. Railroaders Nostalgia
6. Nostalgia & History

The rest as desired.

Then Eastern, Canadian, Western, Model Railroading, in that order

(Known as Eastern, Passenger, & Nostalgia boards)...

I check Eastern, Western, and Nostalgia boards two or three times a day, Railroader's Nostalgia and Railfan Technology two or three times a week. Little interest in the Canadian Railroads, no interest in European or International boards (not knocking them, mind you, they just don't appeal to me).

I go right down the list, in order, whenever I visit, starting at "Western" and stopping after "Canadian". I haven't exactly gotten the hang of "recent"...how many times a day would I have to visit that?

First, I check either the top 25. Of course, I also check out IOTD and "interesting discussions" after log-in.

Then, Steam (especially when UP Steam is being discussed), then Eastern, Passenger and then a few of the others in no particular order.

Steam / Nostalgia / Passenger first. Then bounce around. Not sure why there is no general category. I guess it's just assumed people will post such things in Western.

I usually look at the following:

1) Recent
2) Canadian
3) Railroaders Nostalgia
4) Nostalgia & History
5) Steam Railroading
6) Western RR
7) Passenger Trains

I use the Recent posts to sort of gage new "hot" topic

My actual favorites are steam railroading, western RR, & nostalgia&history
