Eastern Railroad Discussion > The Southern eludes no more!

Good afternoon! After months of chasing the Southern and attempting to catch the engine on a freight train, I finally nabbed my prize. As I have seen it in the rare instance of pulling passenger, I thought it'd be just as nice to see it leading freight.

1: First train of the day was NS 221 with an NS SD90MAC trailing. Location = Buford, GA

2: Second train is the catch of the day, NS 348 heading south with the Southern heritage unit on the point.

4: Next up is NS 203 with another NS SD90MAC trailing.

5: After catching the NB 212, we went to Braselton to grab some BBQ and then over to Winder for a little CSX action on the Abbeville sub. Q194-21 is seen here heading east.

6: Later on, Q211-19 heads east.

I still need to get the Lehigh Valley, Penn Central, and Monongahela. Also need to improve shots of various units, two of which are in the area, the Illinois Terminal and Lackawanna.
