Eastern Railroad Discussion > still more NS dash 9's?Date: 12/02/02 14:40 still more NS dash 9's? Author: GAP Heard on the scanner last night that the NS engine setting out cars in Kalamazoo was #9827. Wow." Is this still more C40-9's? I didn't realize that the numbers went this high.
The engineer had trouble with this high number also. Once he referred to it as "NS nine-two-...no wait, nine-eight-two-seven." Date: 12/02/02 14:53 Re: still more NS dash 9's? Author: CR4114 GAP wrote:

The engineer was right when he said 9-2(87) and not 9-8-2-7, because as of right now the highest Dash-9 is 9744. But in a few months 9827 will exist, beacuse NS has 100 more Dash-9's, #9745-9844, on order for early next year. Kyle Date: 12/02/02 15:17 Re: still more NS dash 9's? Author: GAP So what did I hear? The crew used the number several times, 9827. Another road? I was sure they said NS.
