As photographers and fans, we are often faced with the challenge of trying to make that same old place in your back yard look different.  Time constraints, work, and family obligations often interfere with one's ability to just get up and go.  

That was the problem I faced tonight when I got a call about a southbound oil load on the CSX Trenton Line while the wife was preparing dinner.  No big deal I said. Been there, done that many times before.  I'll just go out to the local station and do it one more time ....... but when I got there I just couldn't stand to do the same thing over again.  Something inside me said no.

When SEPTA's DS decided to advance the eastbound local and hold it for K138 to cross over in front, the answer was right before my eyes.

Thank goodness I had a telephoto lens on the camera.

It pays sometimes, to force yourself to think outside the box ........ Enjoy !

Now I like your kind of outside the box thinking. Nice how the exhaust has distorted those signals lights and the lighting is perfect.
