Sand Patch This & That
Author: cinder

Spent part of two days at Mance, PA (Sun-Mon) and though spring is still a few weeks off, the snow is gone.

1. A westbound tanker empty pierces the Monday morning gloom on track 2 just east of the NA signals.

2. Eastbound Q276 heads down the mountain after the K train reaches the top....Single tracking due to a work window.  Note the lead unit #.

3. Westbound Q640 rounds the curve at Mance with an Indiana Railroad unit in the consist.

4.  Here is the Indiana Railroad unit.

Three weeks to trout season.....and then all hell will break loose as fisherman used to camping and running the CSX access roads to get to Wills Creek will find the yellow gates.....locked

Local fisherman all have keys, or a brother in law who does.

Any current work curfews in place on sand patch anyone aware of ? With the weather this week i'm debating between Altoona area and Sand patch. But most likely weather will be wet and moody for photos for sure.
Thanks , Austin
