Seems reasonable.   Legal proceedings aside, I dont think either of these women will put themselves in such a predicament ever again.   Lesson learned.

It's interesting that the other women is MIA.  She is listed as a FL resident, so I surmise that she was visiting at the time they ventured out on the bridge and has returned home to FL and has no plans to come back to Indiana to face charges for a misdemeanor.    For those with better knowledge of law, what sort of issues could she face because of this warrant?   THere is no way that if she gets a speeding ticket in FL that they will bother sending her back to IN.

I will note that the wishtv article is poorly written and at times difficult to read, but that's a recurring theme in journalism it seems.

Here in NJ, if there's an out of state warrant, the gendarme will usually bring in the individual. Depending on the jurisdiction, they may turn her over to the sheriff who can call Indana, etc. Or they may do it in the local department, and hold on to her for a few hours. Then tell her to get right with Indy, and let her go.

The big mess around here is suspending vehicle registrations for a single unpaid parking ticket. You don't know that you even received a ticket (ticket blew off the windshield, etc). You're stopped for something else, and now you're arrested for driving an unregistered vehicle. Which can have stiff penalties on its own.

Most likely if she stays out of Indiana nothing will happen.  Most places put an extradition radius on their warrants, sometimes in miles, neghboring states, east or west of the Mississippi, or anywhere.  Depends on the reason for the warrant.
