Author: santoro2020 K637-09 departed Buffalo, NY at roughly 2:00 A.M. this morning with DME #6359 "Mount Rushmore", CP #5957, BNSF #4653. Should be a daylight run West of Collinwood for anyone interested.

I myself don't blame the crew for turning the power, those Dash 9s are more compfortable than the 40-2. I'm surprised they didn't do that back at Selkirk Posted from iPhone Date: 05/13/15 12:26 Re: K637-09 thread for Wednesday 05/13/15... Author: santoro2020 I mean exactly what it means.

Author: toledopatch I wouldn't blame the crew for turning the power, either, but from this railfan's perspective, their having done so certainly made the train a LOT less interesting. With the DME "Rushmore" unit leading, I might have tried to figure out a way to get down to the B&O this afternoon. With a BNSF GE leading, I wouldn't make any extra effort at all to see it even here in Toledo.
And don't start with "The railroad isn't run for the enjoyment of the foamers." I know that, and I bet Santoro does, too. But I don't fault him for being disappointed. santoro2020 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I mean exactly what it means. > > NS9743 Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > santoro2020 Wrote: > > > -------------------------------------------------- > > > ----- > > > Just got it at QI 18 wyed. Author: santoro2020 I don't blame them nor am upset, I anticipated this train and was awoken from a buddy to tell me about it before the sun came up (my fault for keeping my ringer turned up) so I decided to venture out early in this foul weather only to be surprised at the last minute it was wyed. Sure, I saw it but after seeing it before trail I'd like to see it again at the point but oh well. I give props for these guys to still put up with standard cabs on the point but it's just one of those "Monday morning" feelings where I just accepted it. I saw it and the crew was happy, we all win. I'm pretty sure we've all been there.
