Veterans Memorial, Bolivar, Ohio
Author: Poker2662

Several years ago, Lawrence Township and the American Legion of the Bolivar, Ohio, area came together to make a memorial for all of our veterans. It stands tall in Fort Laurens Cemetery just outside of Bolivar. The plaque reads "Dedicated to all veterans who honorably served to keep our country free." The AL puts a new American flag on each veteran's grave every Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

I heard today's W&LE 214 get a trackwarrant to head east and I thought the cemetery would be a great spot for a shot. Here's W&LE 3016, 6982, and 6354 pulling 80 tankcars east through Bolivar at 5pm today, 5/25/15.

Be sure to thank a veteran!

Matt
