Three from Northeast Ohio
Author: refarkas

Here are three recent images from different locations in Northeast Ohio.
Image one: CSX 8752 heads RJ Corman's southbound "pipe train" on RJ Corman trackage just north of Massillon, Ohio on the evening of 07/01/2015. These pipes will be taken to south of Massillon where they will be unloaded at the site of a former steel mill.
Image two: CSX 7755 leads CSX train Q375 westbound through the curve east of Sterling, Ohio on 07/02/2015. The track to the right is a siding.
Image three: CEFX 3166 is on the point of CSX train Q394 as it heads east through Creston, Ohio on 07/02/2015.

Great photos. I especially like #1. Do you know what the track on the left in photo 3 is?

Awesome pictures. The loaded SCL woodchip hoppercar used as a buffer on that pipe train was certainly an oddball!

You are right. I never noticed it was a "loaded" wood chip hopper.
As the train took at least half an hour to get from Canal Fulton to Massilon (about seven rail miles), I doubt many wood chips were lost.
