Eastern Railroad Discussion > In and Out UP Motive Power in BellevueDate: 09/02/15 05:34 In and Out UP Motive Power in Bellevue Author: SDP40F600 I usually pay little, if any, attention to the roster numbers of locomotives. When I made Photo 1 of an inbound train off the Fostoria District in Bellevue, it was just another set of Union Pacific locomotives. That was in the morning when it was cloudy and my day in Bellevue had just gotten underway.Late that afternoon we spotted a train getting ready to leave the yard. From a distance I could see the motive power was not Norfolk Southern. When the NS 117 came past the Kemper Rail Park, the motive power looked familiar. It was the same two UP units that had powered a train into Bellevue hours earlier. The locomotives were in the same order as they had entered town and were still operating elephant style.Aside from the fact that the Uncle Petes were pulling a different manifest of freight, another thing had changed. The weather was much nicer.
