Nashville hot spots?
Author: Century636

I was wondering if anybody here could offer a visitng Brit a few pointers to enable him to capture some railroad action during a 2 day visit to Nashville. I am primarily interested in locations suitable for observation and photography purposes.
Does the Nashville and Eastern still run? and with older GEs ??
Any help much appreciated !
Paul

The Tennessee Central Railway Museum will be hosting Day Out with Thomas over the next two weekends. If you're wanting to check out the Nashville and Eastern, I'd recommend being careful where you tread because cars will be packed in three blocks between Willow St. and Hermitage Ave. while families go and see Thomas.

As a fellow Brit, I'd recommend Amqui, north of town.its just off I65. Radnor yard is pretty easy to view from public road too. Mind you, I once sat for 90 mins at Amqui, and saw nothing- but that's US railroading for you...
