Double stack on NS 203
Author: ddavies

NS 203 leaving Alexandria yesterday. Notice at the rear of the train are two double stacks. Is this something new? I have never seen a double stack before on what is normally a train of all trailers, most of which are UPS. Anyone have an idea if this is new business? Does 203 have double stack farther south? (Maybe this came north by mistake?)

I have seen this a few times on CSX 175 and 173 and NS 233 (many times) going through Virginia, as double stack cars with single stacks on them. I always figured they were just running low on the TTUX single flat cars.

The well cars actually have two containers in a well. Van Dorn was always a trailer loading facility, which is why I asked the question.

Any idea who owned the boxes. I don\'t see 203 thru Buford Ga very often cuz it\'s usually too early. But I don\'t recall seeing stack cars on it either.
