Is it possible to drive up the Brills Jct, get out and walk around?
Can I still see the CNR alignment towards Newark and Elzabethport.
I have looked for the ROW from liberty state park that used to head toward the CNJ station Newark
but never able to locate it other than the "CUT" thru downtown Jersey City.

My dad used to walk through Brills looking for cars for Sherwin Williams paints. Just south of Newark Penn you see 2 bridges intersect the PRR ROW. This is the CNJ line from Newark Broad St. station to Brills. Brills Jct. wye is located between US9 and the NJTP.

here's a 1970 image of Brills Jct ... to the left is the B&O/CNJ station in downtown Newark ... to the right is the former RofW across the Upper Bay to Jersey City

Brills Jct is partly fenced, or was a few years ago. It was a holding yard for the scrapper.

FWIW, I would be extremely aware of my surroundings.

Back in the early to mid 70's, on the frequent trips to shoot the latest arrivals at Naporano, we just had to be aware of the wild dogs out there

The cut on the Jersey City end is now partly the right of way for the west side line if the light rail.

The Federal shipbuilding and Western Electric section out on south Kearny is or was served from south Kearny yard

By the presence of the Hancock air whistle, PC 5170 is an ex New Haven unit of 15  such FM  units purchased in 1956
by the Pat Mcginnes administation.

I have read that PC tried to corral FM units in the Chicago area during early in it's combination
