Local Detroit TV (WXYZ) is showing video of a derailment on the CSX Saginaw Sub north of Holly. Two engines and about 8 cars on the ground and in the water. Appears an embankment or small bridge washed out. No mention of injuries.

WWJ Newsradio 950 reports that the train was enroute from Saginaw, MI to Walbridge, OH and that 2 train crew are injured, but did not elaborate as to the extent of the injuries. The accident site is about 8 miles north of the Village of Holly, MI. Also, according to the same report, the potential cause of this accident is that the roadbed was washed out due to a beaver dam bursting, flooding the area around the track. The burst dam was caused by heavy rains in the area this past Monday evening. Both engines are in the water and HazMat crews are onsite to remove the locomotive fuel before they can atempt to right the engines. 9 cars are on the ground.

Train is Q296-06 (Saginaw Yard, MI-Baltimore/Bay View Yard) with Q513-06 (Saginaw Yard, MI-Toledo/Stanley Yard) being tied up behind at Grand Blanc, Q295-06 (Toledo/Stanley Yard-Saginaw Yard) was yanked at Toledo/Stanley Yard as the crew had not left and D736-06 (Saginaw Yard-Detroit/Rougemere Yard) was annulled, should be interesting to see what happens tonight as Q296 is a very hot train and that auto traffic might need to get rerouted. Racks are on the ground along with a few cubes and maybe a covered hopper. Dont know the status on D735-06 (Detroit/Rougemere Yard-Saginaw Yard) as the D735/D736 both carry hot auto part traffic also to and from the CP and NS in Detroit.
