Spotted NS 236 at Kinney Yard in Lynchburg with C&NW C40-8 #8571 and UP
SD70M 4617(?). Also, 228 was heading east behind him with NS horse head
repaint 8751 leading.

I don\'t think they will get very far however. The dispatcher told them to stop at Appomattox due to signal troubles because of storms.

Where does this train end up? Also, I couldn\'t tell from your post, but is the CNW on the point?
Someone told me 236 ends up in Fort Wayne, and then turns on the NKP to Chicago. If so, I\'ll have to keep my ears to the scanner tomorrow, and eyes to the rail.

236 is a Chicago to Norfolk train. The CNW unit was leading going east to Norfolk, VA.
