Gray locomotive on a gray day
Author: FEC2000

CSX Q015 had this KCS leader today, but do to it running early and a rainy fog this morning....this was the best I could do!

1. Q015 passing BG121 Monroe Falls, OH at 815am

2-3. Sitting at CP120 waiting on an eastbound to clear

Nice pics, without the KCS unit it looks like the beginning of the CSX train from their commercials.

I'm glad somebody got it........I couldn't believe it when I saw it sitting in the yard yesterday.

That made me thing about the UPRR locomotive that was painted in desert camo.  The lawyers got a while ingrown hair (and you can guess where) and insisted that it be repainted.  They said it was too hard to see.  I guess it was a pretty good application of the camo.   I'm not sure if that gray locomotive is in "overcast day camo" for the weather, or maybe it's stealth.  In both cases, those lights make it hard to miss along with bells and horns.

Nice shots. Always like to see the gray KCS units. Looks good with the rest of the consist too.
