CSX at "Bluegrass"

Why do CSX crews call the area west of Albion, IN (where they cross the Elkhart River) "Bluegrass" or Bluegrass Cut"? It is approximately MP BI-147 on the Garrett Sub.

Some photos:

Never saw any Blue Grass here; or much of a cut to speak of!

If you are looking east from the 146.8 signals at Elkhart River, the cut is back east around the curve. There is a cut, and it is covered in a very nice and lush blue grass. I don\'t know of any way back to the cut from a road, probably involved hiking along the ROW back to it.

Guess I didn\'t go back far enough. I was more interested in getting a shot of an EB crossing the bridge (with a nice reflection). Should have the pic scanned tomorrow.

Thanks.
