Eastern Railroad Discussion > Marysville, PA - Rts 11/15 Construction UpdateDate: 06/24/16 22:16 Marysville, PA - Rts 11/15 Construction Update Author: sscannella For those of you who visit the Harrisburg and Enola areas, some good news in regards to the Rts 11/15 rockslide abatement project; Friday afternoon the highway was reopened after an almost 2-month closure, but a month ahead of schedule. There may be periodic lane restriction until the contractors put the final touches on the screening and fencing, but the through route between Enola and the Cove area is now open again. The location behind the billboard to shoot westbound trains curving off of Rockville Bridge is now accessible again; I shot Amtrak 43 at about 3:00 pm Friday afternoon. The second images is a view of part of the fencing project looking toward Marysville from the billboard area.

Thanks for the update. I don't get out that way much anymore. Can't help but notice the new switch in photo 1. Can't imagine what NS plans on doing to the interlocking but obviously they didn't assemble that switch there for onting.
