Here is a shot of CSX detour train Q271 on the NYS&W on 7/17/03. This photo is on the Norfolk Southern Hudson Secondary, ex L&HRR at Hamptonburgh NY. SD40T-2 #3010 leads 2 CSX units and 97 tri levels.

Great shots! Can\'t wait to see those T-motors get repainted, but looks like duty calls for the time being.

About what time of day did you shoot this train? I\'d like to catch either it or Q156 over Starrucca next week, and am trying to get an idea of the trains usually show up. Thanks!

Dave,
This was through Middletown around 4:30pm. There has been no regular time. I suggest you join tier sightings group@yahoo to get movements on these trains over Strucca.

Dave bring some tree cutting implements with you. Starucca is starting to get overgrown, so if you take a picture from the end of the bridge, prepare to do some cutting first.

If you go up between Sunday and Wednesday you may catch the eastbound detoru Q-156 too.
