Sony DSC F707/717 Railfan Opinion ???
Author: learmoia

Does anyone have a Sony DSC F707 or F717? Whats your railfan opinion, and could you post a photo example?? I\'m looking into getting a Digital camera..

I already have a Sony Hi-8mm and am very happy with it, and would like to have the ability to exchange batteries between the 2..

So no need to post pros or cons between Sony and other Brands...

Thanks.. Ian

I don\'t own one, but I\'ve used one and it\'s an excellent camera. I\'ve read lots of reviews about it, and it always comes out on top as the best 5MP non-SLR digicam. The Carl Zeiss lens is among the best.

I have the 707 and love it! I believe there are very minor differences between the 707 and 717. Optics are the same I believe.

Here are some of my pics that I have taken with it, and reduced in size. I take all pics at 2560xwhatever. At max res, you can get 51 shots per 128MB stick.

I have a Sony DSC-S70 3.3 Mega Pixels Cyber Shot
Digital that I bought in 2000 with a Carl Zeiss lens which I think is a great camera. It comes with a rechargable kit and I am still using the original battery that came with the camera. I take most of my pictures at 1200 x 1600 resolution and they turn out great.

I have a DSC-717. I think the camera with the Zeiss lens is a super combination. I have attached several 2560 resolution pictures I have taken recently.
