Rejoined TrainOrders today after a posting hiatus.  Thanks to a timely tip today I learned of the NS 4000 leading the Norfolk Southern 12Q out of Elkhart, IN this morning.  The mixed freight (12Q) has been running the Marion Branch south then east on the ex Nickel Plate at Claypool to Bellevue rather than east on the ex NYC.  I caught the train several times between Claypool and South Whitley, Indiana.  ACDC released Back in Black in 1980 (one of my favorite albums) and this black, gray and blue AC44C6M DC to AC conversion locomotive could easily become my favorite should NS adopt this paint scheme..  The 3 locations are Claypool, west of Sidney and west of South Whitley, IN.
