Great shot! I used to chase the grain movements from around High Rock to Midway back when they came thru in the early morning hours. BTW the old depot in Lexington is now burned down in case anyone hasn\'t been there in a while.

Ah, the elusive WSSB. Southbound usually runs early morning in the dark and the northbound you can catch in the summer when the days are long.
I read where they are going to do away with the tracks from the North Yard to the WSSB crossing of the Southern and the original N&W right-of-way will be gone. The current ex-Southern track alignment will also change all to make way for a Triad Research Park.

WSS train Z212-26 at Cedar Hill just north of Ansonville. I was Conductor. Good shots. Nice to get some attention for a change.

Hey guys is the power still running so many months as CSX then NS just wondering how the cycles are setup. I guess it still runs as F-701 into Hamlet on Tues,Thurs.,Sat??

Winston-Salem Southbound. It operates from Winston-Salem to Wadesboro, NC and has trackage rights to Hamlet, NC. Jointly owned by NS and CSX.
