Great photos!

Get your photos of the "hammerheads" or "lobotomized acelas" now as the roof shrouds are being replaced as the sets go in for maintenance and modifications.

I\'m glad to see the shrouds back on some of the units. I didn\'t want to dismember my Bachmann set trying to make them look current.

Now if I can find a layout with enough straightaway to run it flat out. I tried this on a local club layout that had a manual block system. I could only get short bursts of full speed (sound familiar Amtrak?) and since I had power units at both ends with the cars electrically bussed together, the thing coasted through entire dead blocks!

I have a layout that\'s about 25\' long with an Acela set that\'s the actual 6 cars with 2 power(ed) cars. With a Tech II powerpack, it runs at a scale 150 MPH.
