RR Museum of PA 701?
Author: PRR-Lewistown

Last year I went to the RR Museum of Pennsylvania and took some pictures. I am now organizing them on my computer and don't know which railroad owned this locomotive. Please help me identify the RR. Thanks in Advance.

I believe this is an ALCO C415 once owned by the Monongahela Connecting Railroad.

I simply did a Google search of MCRR 701 and it gives me more info than I ever want to know about that loco. Suggest you do the same.

Uhhh...this is the same bunch that allowed a perfectly repainted and very shiny PRR 4800 deteriorate into a disgraceful hulk and now seeks something like a million bucks to "restore" the first GG1.  This is the sort of malfeasance that turns potential donors off from opening their checkbooks--at least that's the case with me.  See also L&N E6A 770.

Much of the initial collection came from equipment stored INSIDE at the Pennsylvania Railroad Company round house in Northumberland.  I wonder if there's covered space somewhere nearby which could be used to store this valuable equipment?

Like the terrible situation at the B&O Museum, having too much equipment for the available space isn't a good thing.
