On Friday morning, 12/2, Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train left Bensenville for its trip along the former IC&E under typically dank Midwestern winter skies. I nabbed the train at Wood Dale as it slow-rolled across Illinois. A nice bonus was eastbound train 686, an ethanol load that appeared minutes after the Holiday Train had passed. SD30C ECO 5030 was leading a pair of NS C40-9Ws just east of the Wood Dale Metra stop.
