Great Video. This is not a critcism but I noticed that the train didn't show up until over 30 seconds into the video. More time to watch train content if you would crop that out.

Not sure what the limits are on CSX, but I can tell you that on the railroad I work for, conventional trains are capped at 10,000ft. There is an exception for pure intermodal trains (no "junk" traffic) of 12,000ft. If I had my way, trains would be capped at 7,000' or 7000 tons whichever came first....why you ask? Obviously you've never had to replace a knuckle 9500ft back. As an engineer you are scared shi*less of setting the brake and releasing it on a train this size too.

That would make sense, but when has the railroad ever make sense in the last 25 years?   CSX in running Q561 from Cleveland to Cincinnati, to Louisville, then to Nashville.  It's been 12,000 to about 14,000 feet long with DP.  I haven't checked the entire route but most of the passing tracks between Louisville and Nashville are about 9000 feet or less.  Same thing for Louisville and Nashville except for the double track between Louisville and Elizabethtown, Ky.  There is another long stretch near Nashville.  The  Q651 and the Q560 take different routes between Cincinnati and Louisville but I believe the rest of the route is the same.

I can tell you for a fact that after picking up at Kilby, Q130 has gone to Marshalling Yard at least once with 20,000 feet.
