"It's Here!"

The first significant snowfall of the season arrived in Chicagoland today.  I was returning from a rendezvois with the Canadian National "Santa Train" in Battle Creek MI, and paused in and around Michigan City IN long enough to take a few pictures.

1.  The nicely restored Samuel Insull era Chicago, South Shore & South Bend station at Beverly Shores IN.
2.  A Chicago-bound train has just crossed the Amtrak Michigan Line at Tenth Street Interlocking in Michigan City and is heading west down the street.
3. The same train having just passed me.

neat pics, Sorry about the snow. Did you get ant shots in Battle Creek? My nephew is a loco engineer /conductor for CN out of Battle creek.

Yes, very nice. We have only had about 1/4" so far this year at the 3500' elevation in the Sierra.
