My Best Train Chase With NS Lehigh Valley 8104
Author: cornerfieldhobby

I know I post a lot. But I've decided from now on, I'm only going to post of something I haven't seen yet or something I really want to see and want to know the location. Anyway, nothing has been updated on 8104 since Cresson at 8:57 this morning. I assume he's reached Manor already. But since it looks like he might make it to Ohio before dark, what's the status?

Well, that was when I asked about 8104. Well, I did see 8104 a total of 5 Times. YES, 5 TIMES. How? Well, I seen 8104 at Rootstown Ohio at 3:56PM. Well I had my scanner with me and heard the Cleveland Dispatch talking to 67N and 15K ahead of 25V that there were 3 eastbounds with one Track 2 open between CP 102 & 107 I believe. Well I took the chance and headed north and seen 25V stopped in Ravenna. So I headed west on Ravenna Road and caught him passing under the bridge at Towner's Park at 4:18PM and he was maybe going 25 to 30MPH. So because it's 45MPH on Ravenna Road I could get ahead of him. Well I seen him a mile west of Towners Park for a 3rd time near Akron Water Supply-Water Plant. I would've tried to see him crossing the bridge there crossing the Cuyahoga River, but there was car behind me and also it was mostly mud. So I pulled off at a small spot of stone to get that photo. Then for the 4th stop, he was slowing way down at CP 94 at about 10  to 15 mph. So I got on Stow Road in Hudson Ohio and headed south and load and behold, the SUN CAME OUT and ended my day for seeing 8104 today because he got the clear after 553 cleared Macedonia. It was a fun trip and totally unexpected.

The 1st and 2nd photo are from Rootstown.

It's 2/3. We'll see what Chicago does with her if she comes back east.

Also forgot to mention, this is the best train chase I've ever done in my history to Railfan.
