Eastern Railroad Discussion > GE Export Locos WB on NS(NKP)Date: 01/21/17 14:27 GE Export Locos WB on NS(NKP) Author: nkp746 I was wandering about and heard what I think is the L99 with some type of high and wides. I stopped at Dutch Rd in Fairview, PA and it turns out to be seven GE export locos, followed by the unit's trucks. Attached are two grab shots. Seen just after 5pm on Saturday, 1/21/17.
If I heard correctly he is going into the siding at Wallace. Eventually it sounds like they are going to Ashtabula (Carson). Then south to a port I assume- Philly, Baltimore? Conway (via Youngstown Line), Altoona, etc eastward. I think most are shipped out of Philly or Norfolk. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/21/17 18:08 by NKP715. Date: 01/22/17 04:04 Re: GE Export Locos WB on NS(NKP) Author: jmt Part of the 55 unit Pakistani order

Fault tolerance or greater visibility of an oncoming train in the distance?
