All the more reason for me to get cracking and scan in my slides from the 1990's.
Many a time living near Kensington MD would I see the green Marc engine being used for cab control. I wonder if it's the same engine. Date: 02/16/17 16:47 Re: E Units In Illinois Author: ClubCar rustyr0824 Wrote:

For a few years MARC owned 6 former Burlington E-units that were actual locomotives with HEP and they operated on the former B&O lines between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. and between Brunswick, Maryland and/or Martinsburg, W.V. and D.C. The only cab unit that MARC owned was a former B&O F unit #7100 which operated fully painted in MARC colors and has now been retired for about 5 or 6 years and has been given to the B&O R.R. Museum in Baltimore. When MARC purchased additional new locomotives, the former Burlington units were retired and sold off. I guess it was 7100 that I was thinking of. But I didn't think that one was green I thought it was in some old MARC colors. I would have to look at old photos. But thanks for the tip. Rusty Stafford VA |
