Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS rescues Amtrak 43 at Huntingdon PA

On 2/19/17. Amtrak 43 was having major engine problems and made it to Harrisburg before the GE P42 finally gave up. NS was already in the process of sending them an SD40E Helper set to get them to Pittsburgh. I caught the helper set rollling through Union Furnace on their way to Huntingdon and the hook up of the Amtrak to the helpers and more. It looked like the turbo went out on the unit.
