Eastern Railroad Discussion > FEC RailroadDate: 02/25/17 12:00 FEC Railroad Author: kd0086 What is FEC's trains in priority. I think 101 is at the top of the list but I may be wrong. Thanks

https://www.facebook.com/groups/fecrailway/ Date: 02/26/17 13:02 Re: FEC Railroad Author: florida581 While 101 is often considered FEC's hottest train, most trains on FEC can and will carry UPS and other TOFC traffic. Southbound traffic may be "hotter" than northbound since trains are mostly loaded south and empty north (except for rock traffic).
Also, FEC runs trains differently than most others. It's not uncommon to see rock, ethanol, and manifest mixed together on the same train as UPS / TOFC and other container traffic. Even train 101 will fill out with non-intermodal traffic on light days. Since their main is mostly flat and straight, most trains run 50-60 mph the whole way.
