A Wheeling walk in the park...and the 25V.
Author: Forever-Railfan-45

Yesterday while on the way home from work I was notified of the Wheeling and Lake Erie 262 departing Britian Yard in Akron, Ohio. The trains have a ten mile per hour speed restriction for almost the entire trip to Canton due to numerous defects found by the FRA this past year. In the first picture you can see the "bowing" of the track in front of the locomotive and the bridge it is about to cross. In the second picture you can see the walking park just to the left of the locomotive. I have heard that Wheeling will have a MOW blitz on the section of track this coming summer so that speed can be increase to twenty five miles per hour. Lastly we have 25V coming up the "Sag" in Beloit, Ohio at PC 77.2 on the Fort Wayne Line. Have a nice Sunday everyone...
