Eastern Railroad Discussion > RR history exhibit - Philly...and it's free!Date: 04/22/17 09:53 RR history exhibit - Philly...and it's free! Author: jonjonjonjon As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Athenaeum in Philadelphia (Right around the corner from Independence Hall on 7th St.) has a show up until May 12 called "Laying Tracks and Laying Foundations - Building for the Railroad" which features architectural drawings and photos of area railroad structures.
But the centerpiece of the show is a 1/160 N scale model of the old Pennsy Broad St. Station, which burned down in the '20s. Another favorite is an original cross-section drawing of the Reading Terminal train shed, which is still standing as part of the convention center.
