"Going to Biggs" is heard over the radio when B770 has to take cars to the Verso Finish Products Warehouse along Rt. 135 between Westernport and McCoole, MD on the former WM tracks.

CSX local B770 is assigned to work the West Virginia Junction Yard at Beryl, WV. Their primary job is to service the Verso papermill across the river in Luke, MD. The local does travel to the Keyser, WV yard to pick up and set out the traffic from the paper mill but they also have too work the Verso warehouse east of Westernport, MD., hence the call "Going to Biggs".

The first two shots, B770-13 is eastbound along the Potomac River entering Westernport, the 3rd. photo is just east of town.

Another spot right along the Potomac River and Rt. 135 at the site of the former Tri-Towns Plaza Shopping Center. The power will most always lead as the loading platform has switches at each end and the power can run around their cars at the warehouse. 1st photo is eastbound and the others are westbound of the local returning.

Returning west, B770 passing the parking lot of the Upper Potomac Waste Water Treatment Plant and passing the former Western Maryland Railway Station, now Museum. For a while, Georges Creek Railway parked their ex. WM GP9 #25 on their trackage across from the former station - 13 March 2017

Nice images. How often do they make this move? I'm always kind of surprised that this is something that hasn't been parceled out to the George's Creek operation.

2-3 times a week as needed. Georges Creek only switches part of the paper mill (The Clay Hole ). CSX still handles bringing the cars to Luke, switching part of the mill and the warehouse.... but those could change under the new CEO.......
