Southern Vacation: Day 8, SAL RS3, ACL SW8, and More

Day 8 of my southern vacation starts in Willow, Florida at the Florida Railroad Museum. Here they have a Seaboard Air Line RS3, Ex GO Transit F7A, and 2 Geeps painted up for the museum

After the museum I stopped by Winter Haven and shot a Florida Central GP7

Up next was the Cemex plant at Davenport where ACL #648 lays over on easter

Last up for the day was Gainesville where ACL #100 works at the Conrad Yevlington plant

Aha, so that's where most of Florida RR Museum's stuff is at. I stopped at Parrish a couple months ago and there wasn't much to see there (a couple of interesting SAL and ACL phosphate cars and an NW5). Folks in the gift shop mentioned "the shop" but werent' interested in saying where that was, apparently b/c it's not open to the public.

The ACL 648 is a Sw-7 not a SW-8.
Great series of shots also.

The museum uses the EX SAL line from
Valrico to Bradenton.

Looking at the satellite photos, it appears to be torn up north of the shop area.
