S&A Heritage
Author: cutboy2

The  Savanna  and Atlanta  heritage unit  has been hanging  around the old  N&W  yard in Mariemont  , Ohio  for  a  few  days. Odd use of that power. Where PRR  and  N&W  crossed  along the  Little Miami River   about  9 miles east of  downtown.

How does it look ? Last I saw it, the lettering was
in very poor shape, with some letters and numerals
virtually gone.

Jim, your right about that. The only time I caught S&A 1065 which was back on Sat Feb 20th, 2016 trailing 3rd on 22K, that Atlanta and numbers on the left side of the engine were in very poor shape.

1065 has been a welcome sight on the east side of Cincinnati. On Tuesday I caught NS T96 with the S&A waiting for the Cincinnati East Terminal to finish switching Clare. It made for an unusually busy time at Clare. Here are a couple overhead shots of the action along with a more traditional one from the ground. The paint on 1065 looked pretty good as best I could tell.
