Providence & Worcester turns orange
Author: cslemp

I came across freshly painted P&W GE B39-8E # 3908 in Palmer, MA yesterday idling away the afternoon next to the NECR yard office with EMD GP38 #2011. I neither love nor hate the G&W orange and black, but it's nice to see spartan cab GE's with fresh paint.

That's a nice looking paint job, thanks for sharing it.

It does look sharp, but I wish Genesee & Wyoming would spend more of its paint budget on turds like these -- GNWR50 and BP2030 leading a local to Dansville, N.Y., on Monday -- and leave the decent-looking power from its acquisitions alone:

That's a great photo prop to the extreme right.

...and 50 has been on the property since 1986/87 in the same paint.

I was so glad that Old BNSF paintjob went away, also 4007 is the last B39-8 produced as I understand and I also heard G&W (AZER) has a 4007 also a B39-8 but someone needs to confirm that please !

looks same old same old G&W, the brown and orange is the way to go for the P&W. I 'd prefer the old orange and white P&W scheme befopre the G&W paint
