1) B770-21 eastbound at 21st. Bridge Rd., MD. with 60 cars of outbound traffic from Beryl & Keyser, WV

2) B770-21 eastbound at the Rebecca Rd. Crossing near Pinto, MD. The crew will tie down their train at Beall Street in Cumberland and taxi back to the WVC Junction Yard to go off duty.

3) With the train still tied down at Cumberland, the next morning crew had to taxi to Cumberland to pickup power for the days work at the junction. Late in the afternoon, B770-22 finally comes west passing thru Keyser, WV on their way to start their shift........

Nice shots. Seems pretty inefficient and "unbalanced" to move traffic on that line now in the manner they are doing it. Wouldn't the road freights be easier.

So because the local took the freight to Cumberland then the next days local crew had to take the local power as a light engine move all the way back? Yeah, if that is a the regular way of doing things now, what a curious kind of efficiency.

The local crew picked up another set of power and brought it back to the Junction... There has been a couple of different arrangements, some work better than others...
