Loaded trash train 63V was reported to be on fire around Spruce Creek PA. Not sure what is involved here. But Eastbounds are backing up around Altoona. Will update when I hear more.

That must be why Amtrak no. 42 lost an hour between Tyrone and Huntingdon.

one day last month amtrak lost about the same between hunt and altoona due to a train hitting a truck. unsure where though...

Trains 42 and 43 both got hit with delays today. No. 43 had to wait for traffic to clear up before it could leave Harrisburg. NS has been doing track work in the Harrisburg area which has messed up on time records for Amtrak lately. One day no. 42 was held out at Port interlocking for an hour or so. When it finally got to Harrisburg someone asked the engineer about the delay. He said NS doesn't plan ahead. Then he said; "NS doesn't know how to run trains"! Perhaps the poor dispatcher was forced to use the "movement planner" which one dispatcher called the "movement preventrr".
