A nice EMD sandwich
Author: srman

With SD40-2 8213 as the "meat" I suppose MP15AC 1134 and SW1001 1127 was the "bread" as CSX Y220 headed north across the Ohio River this evening for Jeffersonville Indiana. CSX 1134 and 8213 where built for the L&N as their 4229 and 3585. The 1127 was built for the Reading as their 2610.

I assume CSX is the only railroad that can put that type of consist together. Amazing to see that appearing in 2017. Thanks for sharing.

LIRR used to run their MP15's cab-forward thru the 1980's on short passenger trains until the FRA banned the practice. How does that get allowed here ?

Perhaps different rules for freight vs. passenger operations? Or due to a difference in operating speed?

Most of the Switchers don't have event recorders and are limited to 20 mph in lead.
