Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS Norris Yard Backing Up Again??

After a rough three weeks NS shaved off almost 16 hours of dwell time at their Norris Yard in Birmingham Alabama.
Not entirely sure that the congestion issues at Birmingham are totally resolved however, as there have been three rerouted Birmingham trains this week on the Alabama East End into Atlanta. Assume they are headed to Linwood, NC???

2 - NS 340 (MERIDIAN, MS (KCS MSSHNS) – BIRMINGHAM, AL)
1 - NS 314 (NEW ORLEANS, LA (UP QLINSB) – BIRMINGHAM, AL)

The problem yards continue to be Chattanooga, Sheffield and Birmingham as of the July 14 reporting.

This morning it is a parking lot on the East End with trains tied down everywhere between Anniston and Birmingham.
