ABC 1501 - Switching Barberton, Ohio
Author: refarkas

There is a park that parallels the Akron Barberton Cluster tracks north of Wooster Road West in Barberton, Ohio. These three photos showing ABC 1501 were taken on July 26, 2017 from this park.

Excellent photo series. Thanks for posting.
I think ABC should call itself "The Alphabet Route".

"Alphabet Route" is already spoken for.

In #3 are those carbon black cars?

As far as I know, those look like carbon black cars. I remember older cars there in the same paint scheme with carbon black lettering on their car bodies.

Your reference is to a no longer used term that was once used for a through route offered by a coalition of fallen flag railroads. Given those circumstances, I would say the name had been relinquished.

Nevertheless, in retrospect my suggestion should have been to call it "The Alphabet Line".
