Eastern Railroad Discussion > NKP GP30 901 on the I&O (9/10/17)Date: 09/10/17 16:25 NKP GP30 901 on the I&O (9/10/17) Author: NTBolton Drove down to Lima, Ohio today to catch Cincinnati Railway's GP30 #901 in NKP paint leading the 3:30 excursion train south down the I&O. The train consisted of 8 cars, CNRY GP30 #901, and Lebanon Mason Monroe GP7 #55.
Photo #1: Crossing Kibby Street shortly after departing Lincoln Park in Lima. Photo #2: The engineer waves as the train passes. Photo #3: Crossing Huffman Creek at Uniopolis. The loco on the North end was along for the ride second and third trip (some sort of problem).
A tip of the hat to the hogger of the GP 30 who had to face south on the northbound trip (s);in either direction he gave meaning to turbo charged power. |
