No trains or radio change: Macon-Valdosta
Author: twropr

On Friday the 15th I drove between Jacksonville, FL and Cordele, GA, returning on Sunday the 17th.
Normally NS' Atlanta Dispatcher is my constant travelling companion, but I did not hear a word on either day.
I had 160.950 programmed for the road and 160.245 for the dispatcher. Have the frequencies changed, or were there no trains either day?
Thanks!
Andy

Back in the Spring 2017 NS made several changes to their dispatcher / train road channel AAR channels. I had heard that the Atlanta North End channel was going to change as well, but to date that has not happened. With the increase of radio traffic related to crews having problems with PTC, and the extended coverage of the Atlanta Terminal dispatcher it may be time to assign a different channel to the Atlanta North End.

See this post from back in July for an updated list of Georgia Division AAR Radio Channels south of Atlanta.
