Eastern Railroad Discussion > FGLK 411, pleaseDate: 09/18/17 08:56 FGLK 411, please Author: BobE I have to travel to Toronto and plan to go via upstate New York. If I do it right, I can target Geneva, NY for about a day and a half. Is this an operating hub (per my information)? Given the short time frame involved, I wouldn't want to go too far afield and only want to get Finger Lakes, Falls Road and Ontario Midland. I can get all the CSX and NS I want here in Cincinnati, so please don't make suggestions that I visit those roads.

The best day for Finger lakes would be a Sunday when they head east from Geneva to Solvay and back in the morning meaning good light both ways. Weekdays wont be great with the shorter days now as they'll leave Geneva for Solvay early afternoon and return west in the evening.
