Eastern Railroad Discussion > A few shots from Eastern PA todayDate: 09/25/17 14:14 A few shots from Eastern PA today Author: dschlegel I took off of work today and went watching trains with my brother (beertrain). It was blazing hot, but we had some nice catches.
First up the East Penn railroad's GP38-3 2801 (GATX reporting marks) waits to head into Reading Yard at Sinking Spring, PA. Next up the 36Q pulls to a stop at Sinking Spring to await the 21M to clear Wyomissing Jct. Next a 25M baretable train (new symbol to me) with a pair of BNSF units trailing heads west at Richland, PA More to follow...... Date: 09/25/17 14:21 Re: A few shots from Eastern PA today Author: dschlegel Next up is 19G at Richland, PA
Then we caught the H47 reversing off the Evansville secondary at Laurel to make a run-around on the former Laurel siding (between West Laurel and Belt). Next to the east end of Fleetwood to catch the power of 18N passing a holding 38G and the grave marker for the Dreiblebiss family. A few more coming....... Date: 09/25/17 14:30 Re: A few shots from Eastern PA today Author: dschlegel We then headed a little further east to Macungie to close out the day.
Here's the H68 (with the 6698 leading the 6140) meeting the 20K After H68 cleared, a bunch of track maintenance equipment came off the old Tyler pipe siding to work Main 1 towards Emmaus The HA11 slows through Macungie to work Buckeye Pipeline's LPG sidings while the track equipment pulls onto Main 1 Other noteable trains that I didn't have great photos of from today were the NS34 Geometry train (operating as a 905) and a high none GP38-2 trailing on the HA11. Thanks for looking! Dan Date: 09/25/17 15:07 Re: A few shots from Eastern PA today Author: Pattenburg Dan - what direction was the NS34 traveling?

East when I saw it at sinking Spring, it then went into Reading and was measuring all over the area today. I don't know if it went east of Reading though.
